It's not quite like leaping off a cliff and not understanding the distance to the bottom. With information and knowing that you will never have 100% of the desired facts about the career change, the career move you make can be the best decision you ever make. Nothing is worse than dreading going into work every day. It ruins your health, drags you down with it's negative experience and if it continues reduces your career options. Career change can be liberating and in looking back the best thing you've ever done. Career change becomes more comfortable if you do proper research, have a good understanding of your interests and strengths, and are willing to accept some uncertainty.
